Free card machine fee calculator
The calculator shows the card machine fee and what's left for you on each sale. You choose Pix, debit or credit, adjust your machine's rate and see the result right away without an account.
How to calculate a card machine fee
- Enter the sale amount.
- Choose the payment method: Pix, debit or credit. For credit, pick installments from 1 to 12.
- Check the rate, prefilled with an estimated average, and change it to your machine's rate if you know it.
- Click Calculate fee and see the fee and how much you receive on the sale.
Fee = sale amount × rate in %. You receive = sale amount − fee. For example, a $100 sale on credit in 3 installments at a 4% rate has a $4 fee, and you receive $96. The prefilled values are estimated averages, so replace them with your acquirer's rate, the company that provides your card machine, for an exact calculation.
How the calculator works
You enter the sale amount and the payment method, which can be Pix, debit or credit. For credit, you pick 1 to 12 installments.
The rate field comes prefilled with an estimated average for each payment method, and you can freely replace it with your machine's real rate.
The result shows the fee and how much lands in your account on that sale, so you know your net profit.
The average rates by payment method
The estimated averages that prefill the calculator:
- Pix: 0.5% per sale.
- Debit: 1.5% per sale.
- Credit in full: 3%. The rate rises with installments and sits at 4% at 3 installments, 7% at 10 and 8.5% at 12.
Every acquirer charges its own rate, and many have different plans. Check the exact rate in your machine's app or contract and adjust the field before calculating.
