How to create a loyalty card

  1. Type the store name, which appears at the top of the card.
  2. Choose the business type. The generator suggests 6 stamps for a bakery or café, 8 for a barbershop or salon and 10 for fashion or gifts, and you can edit the number.
  3. Set the reward and its label, up to 6 characters per line, and pick one of the 5 color combinations.
  4. Optionally, enter the average ticket, and the generator warns you if the reward tops 15% of what the customer spends on the card.
  5. Click Generate card, check the preview and print the A4 sheet or download the image as PNG.

The 15% reward rule: reward ÷ (stamps × average ticket) ≤ 15%. For example, a $9 reward on a card with 6 stamps and an average ticket of $10 gives 9 ÷ (6 × 10) = 9 ÷ 60 = 15%, right at the limit. If the reward goes over 15%, the generator warns you, and you can increase the stamps or reduce the reward.

How the generator works

You type the store name and choose the business type. The generator suggests 6 stamps for a bakery, café or diner, 8 for a barbershop, salon or pet shop and 10 for fashion, shoes or gifts. The stamp count, reward and colors are all editable.

The card preview appears in real time, exactly as it will print. Once the reward stays within the 15% limit, you print an A4 sheet or download the image as PNG to take to a print shop.

The 15% reward rule

The reward's value needs to stay below the revenue the card brings. Divide the reward's value by what the customer spends to fill the card (stamps × average ticket) and keep the result at 15% or less.

  • A $9 reward on a card with 6 stamps and a $10 average ticket gives 9 ÷ 60 = 15%, right at the limit.
  • A $20 reward on the same card gives 20 ÷ 60 = 33%, too expensive, so add stamps or reduce the reward.

If you enter the average ticket, the generator does that math and warns you when the reward goes over 15%.

When to use a loyalty card

  • Use the card at a bakery or café, so the daily customer buys one more item to fill the card.
  • Use it at a barbershop or salon, to fill the empty time slots between visits.
  • Use it at a fashion or gift store, so the customer comes back to you instead of the competition.
  • Use it when launching a new product, to encourage the second purchase.

Frequently asked questions about loyalty cards

With each purchase, the customer gets a stamp on the card. When the stamps are complete, they receive the reward printed on the card, like a free coffee or a discount. The card gives the customer a reason to return to your store instead of going to the competition.

It depends on visit frequency. For a bakery, café or diner, 6 stamps cover about a week of visits. For a barbershop, salon or pet shop, 8 stamps cover roughly a month between cuts. For fashion, shoes or gifts, 10 stamps work for less frequent purchases. The generator suggests those numbers and you can edit them.

Pick something tied to what you sell and cheap for you, like a free coffee at the bakery, a free haircut at the barbershop or a discount on the next purchase. The reward shows on the card in two lines of up to 6 characters each, like "coffee" and "free".

Use the 15% rule. Divide the reward's value by what the customer spends to fill the card (stamps × average ticket) and keep the result at 15% or less. A $9 reward on a card with 6 stamps and a $10 average ticket lands at exactly 15%. The generator warns you when the reward goes over that limit.

No. The generator is free and works without an account. You build the card, check the preview and print or download the image as many times as you want.

After building the card, you print one card per A4 page. If you need more, increase the number of copies in the browser print dialog. You can also download the image as PNG and send it to a print shop for sturdier paper.

Yes, especially if you sell every day. The customer carrying your card remembers your store when it's time to buy, and the reward helps them decide. To measure the results, keep your customers' names and see who came back. In Kyte, you register customers and track who returns.
